About Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences（FHSS）
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FHSS) offers four undergraduate programs respectively in Sociology, Social Work, Law and English, of which, Sociology has been included into the first batch of national first-class undergraduate programs; it boasts three disciplines authorized to offer master degree program, namely, Sociology, Pedagogy, and Foreign Languages and Literature; it provides three professional master degree programs in Social Work, Pedagogy, and Law; and its Sociology and Higher Pedagogy are both municipal key disciplines in Beijing. Currently, FHSS has 196 faculty staff and 971 students, including 308 postgraduates and 663 undergraduates.
Following the principle of being based in Beijing, serving Beijing, paying attention to state affairs and facing the world, FHSS aims to be a high-level institution for teaching and research in humanities and social sciences. It sticks to the philosophy of “integrating humanities and social sciences, unifying knowing and doing, forging ahead and pursuing excellence” and strives to make its presence felt at home and abroad. Given the fact that FHSS is home to a variety of disciplines, FHSS pays attention to the integration of various academic resources and makes full use of the advantages of disciplinary clusters to promote the cross-disciplinary development. With talent cultivation as the foundation, scientific research as the driving force, and international cooperation as the bridge, guided by discipline construction, and supported by social services, FHSS strives to build high-level disciplines and become a major player in BJUT’s efforts in constructing first-class discipline clusters.

Qualification:
l Native speaker of English/Japanese.
l Less than 60 years old.
l More than 3 years of language teaching experience.
l Major in linguistics, translation, intercultural communication, literature, Education or the relevant majors.
l Master’s Degree or above.
l Healthy and no criminal records.
Job description
ESL teacher
1. No less than 16 class hours weekly ( 45 minutes for each class).
2. Target students will be undergraduates or postgraduates.
3. Teaching courses includes but is not limited to “Oral English-Bridge of Culture” “Oral English-Communication” “Oral English- Speech” “ Oral English- Debate” “College English” and “Academic English Writing and Speaking” etc..
4. Participate in the polishing of writing for master or doctoral dissertation and other tasks in graduate cultivation.
5. IELTS training experience is preferred.
Japanese teacher
1. No less than 16 class hours weekly ( 45 minutes for each class).
2. Target students will be non-Japanese major undergraduates and Japanese major graduates.
3. Participate in the polishing of writing for master or doctoral dissertation and other tasks in graduate cultivation.
Remuneration:
Salary: about 12000-15000 Yuan per month for the whole contract year.
Accommodation: free apartment on campus with household appliances and utility.
Allowance: airfare, transportation allowance, utilities allowance and vacation allowance provided.
Insurance: insurance for major diseases, hospitalization and personal accidents provided.
