BJUT Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences held the first Freshmen English Dubbing Competition, “Let the sound touch your heart,” on December 7, 2023. The competition was intended to raise the students’ interest in English learning, improve their oral English, and cultivate teamwork spirit.

The English major students of the Class of 2027 teamed up voluntarily and selected film and television clips. Their dubbing works included Inside Out, Jackie Chan Adventures, Despicable Me, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, and Cinderella. In the competition, the students perfectly imitated the characters by dubbing with good pronunciation, feelings, and emotions. They altogether offered the audience a visual and acoustic feast.

The Faculty’s new arrivals gained higher passion and deeper understanding of English learning through this English dubbing competition. We have every reason to believe that they will achieve more brilliant results in their future studies.
