On October 25, 2023, the 15th Moot Court Competition of Beijing University of Technology, organized by the Law Department of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, was successfully concluded in the Moot Court Classroom of the Humanities Building. Chen Chen, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Faculty, attended the award ceremony. After three finals and evaluations by five judges, three teams were awarded the first prize, three teams with the second prize, and three individuals were awarded "Best Contestant."
At the award ceremony, the judges commented on the students' performance in the finals, offered them helpful guidance, and then read the list of winners.
This competition allowed students to personally experience the court proceedings, familiarize themselves with the details and process of cases, and improve their defense skills. With the comments and guidance of the teachers, students had a valuable opportunity to discover, analyze, and solve practical problems by harnessing their legal knowledge; they have also made great strides in legal thinking, language expression, and organizational capability.
