On December 15, the video meeting between the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and the School of Social Policy and Social Work, University of York was successfully held, and both parties exchanged views on cooperation issues such as discipline construction, specialty development, faculty exchange and student training.
British representatives include Neil Lent, Associate Dean of the School of Social Policy and Social Work, University of York, Antonios Rumpakis, Editor-in-Chief ofComparative International Social Policy, Hannah Joblin, Director of Postgraduate Program in Social Work, and Chinese representatives include Chai Hongxia, Director of International Cooperation Program; Chen Hao and Chen Feng, Deputy Directors of Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Xing Yuzhou, Director of College of Social Work, Li Junfu, Deputy Director of College of Social Sciences, and Ge Ling, International Youth Tutor of College of Social Work.
At the meeting, Deputy Director Chen Hao fully affirmed the achievements made by both parties in discipline and specialty development and talents training, discussed with the British side on the joint training mode and funding policy of students, and said that the faculty will continue to support the departments of both sides to carry out in-depth exchanges and cooperation. Subsequently, the heads of social work departments of both parties conducted in-depth discussions on scientific research cooperation, specialty construction and joint training of students, and reached consensus on the scientific research cooperation planning in 2022, workshops for the growth of young faculty members, sub-forum of the British Social Policy Annual Conference, and tailoring of student training programs.
This meeting has expanded the future cooperation scope between both parties, enriched the connotation of specialty exchanges, deepened the friendly relations, benefited the discipline and specialty construction of both sides, and laid a foundation for launching the more diversified and longer cooperation.
