Beijing Organizing Committee of 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Sends a Thank-you Letter to Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences

Recently, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences received a thank-you letter from the Operation Team of Beijing Winter Olympic Village (Winter Paralympic Village) of the Beijing Organizing Committee of 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, expressing the gratitude to BJUT for its great support and Associate Professor Zhang Junmei, Party Branch of Public English Teachers, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, for her conscientious, responsible and fearless work during her serving the Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics.

From September 2021 to April 2022, Zhang Junmei served as the Deputy Manager of language service in Beijing Winter Olympic Village, and was mainly responsible for language services of 44 fields in the village, including translation, interpretation and volunteer translation services. In addition, as an epidemic prevention specialist, she took charge of COVID-19 prevention of 4 staff members, 2 contractors and 22 language service volunteers in the field of language services, and has been unanimously recognized by the operation team and successfully completed the tasks.

Thank-you letter is both affirmation and motivation. Faculty and student volunteers of the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences actively responded to the call made by General Secretary Xi Jinping for Winter Olympics volunteers to "cheer up, go all out, depend on each other and work together" with practical actions, dedicated themselves to the volunteer service posts, and vividly interpreted the spirit of Beijing Winter Olympics through their own actions.
