Combining the Introduction of External Talents with the Training of Internal Talents to Gather Talents from a Global Perspective -- A Special Meeting on Talent Training Held by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of BJUT 

623日,文法学部召开人才工作专题会议,学部全体领导班子成员和党委委员参会,学部党委书记范明主持会议。

On June 23, a special meeting on talent training was held by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, which was attended by all the members of the leading group and the CPC Committee, and presided over by Fan Ming, secretary of the CPC Committee of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

学部副主任陈锋介绍了20217月以来学部人才工作的整体进展情况,主要包含人才招聘宣传、人才引进概况、人才项目申报等。一年来,学部通过人才队伍补充与支持计划、年度公开招聘、日新论坛等方式引进了一些学科骨干教授和青年骨干教师,为学科发展补充了重要力量,人才工作取得了一定成绩。同时,学部目前仍面临高层次人才不足与师资队伍结构不平衡的问题,未来在外引内培和团队梯队建设方面仍需持续发力。

Chen Feng, Deputy Director of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, introduced the achievements of talent training work of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences since July 2021, mainly including talent recruitment publicity, talent introduction overview, talent training project application, etc. Over the past year, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences has introduced some core professors and young core teachers of disciplines through the talent team supplement and support plan, annual open recruitment, Rixin Forum and other ways, which has injected new important strength into the development of disciplines and made certain achievements in talent training. At the same time, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is still faced with the problem of insufficient high-level talent reserves and an unbalanced structure of faculty members and staff. In the future, it still needs to continue to work hard to introduce external talents and cultivate internal talents and in team echelon construction.

学部领导班子成员和党委委员均肯定了学部近一年的人才工作进展,并在学科平衡发展、师资队伍梯队建设、外引内培的结合方式、交叉学科人才的引进、人才工作动员与传递等方面提出了积极建议。

All members of the leading group and the CPC Committee of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences affirmed the achievements in talent training in the past year, and put forward positive suggestions on the balanced development of disciplines, the construction of the teacher echelon, the combination of introducing external talents and cultivating internal talents, the introduction of interdisciplinary talents, and the mobilization and development of talent training.

学部主任唐军指出,首先要用好人才队伍补充与支持计划这一灵活通道,引进人员时要做到对人才的学术能力和师德师风全面考察,对学科及专业建设所需心中有数。其次,将外引内培放到同等重要的位置,考虑到现有学科专业之间发展存在不平衡性,需有意识地培养现有师资队伍,一方面学部与内设机构要创造条件,另一方面个人要有持续的内生动力和明确方向。

Tang Jun, director of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, pointed out that first of all, we should make good use of the key channel of talent team supplement and support plan, make a comprehensive investigation of their academic research ability and professional ethics when introducing backbone teachers, and make sure that we know enough about the needs of discipline and specialized subject construction. Secondly, we should treat the introduction of external talents and the training of internal talents equally. Considering the imbalance between the development of existing disciplines and specialized subjects, we need to consciously cultivate the existing members of faculty and staff. On the one hand, we should create conditions for internal talents in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and internal institutions, and on the other hand, internal talents for training should have a sustained endogenous motivation and a clear development direction.

学部党委书记范明在总结中指出:一是人才工作有亮点、有经验,但引进人才数量仍然较少,之后还需加强对校外优秀青年学者的发掘,加强与学界的交流与联系;同时明确学科和专业人才引进方向与需求。二是结合学校后续人事制度的修订,结合岗位特点与差异推动师资梯队建设;三是建议进一步召开学部人才人事工作会,充分讨论师资队伍发展问题,以及今后如何发挥师资队伍作用来巩固和提高学科建设与专业建设水平。四是既要培养人才更要留住人才,学科带头人要带好队伍和青年学者,发挥学术引领作用;学部要充分发挥教授会和学术委员会的作用,凝心聚力建设学部人才队伍。

Fan Ming, Secretary of the CPC Committee of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, summarized and pointed out: First, we should focus on key directions of the talent training, and we have accumulated some experience, but the number of core teachers successfully introduced is still in small size. Later, we need to strengthen the development of exterior outstanding young scholars, and strengthen exchanges and contacts with the academic community; at the same time, we should make clear the direction and demand for the introduction of talents for discipline and specialized subjects. Second, we should promote the construction of the teacher echelon according to the subsequent revision of the university personnel system for the characteristics and differences of posts; third, we should further develop the talent training and talent recruitment meeting of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences to fully discuss the development of the members of faculty and staff and full play the role of the members of faculty and staff to consolidate and improve the development level of discipline and specialized subjects construction in the future. Fourth, we should not only cultivate talents but also retain them, and the project leaders should do well in guiding the team and young scholars, and we should make full use of the seminar of the professors and academic committee and concentrate on promoting the talent team construction.
