Lecture 25 of the Capital Education Expert Forum is Successfully Held by Institute of Higher Education of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences 

2022923,北京工业大学文法学部高等教育研究院邀请山西大学中国社会教育研究院院长侯怀银教授作了题为《当前我国高等教育学学科体系、学术体系和话语体系建设》的学术讲座。本次讲座由文法学部高教院院长苏林琴主持,文法学部相关学科师生以及其他高校师生共120余人参加了此次讲座。

On September 23, 2022, Professor Hou Huaiyin, Dean of the Institute of Chinese Social Education of Shanxi University, was invited by the Institute of Higher Education of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of BJUT to give an academic lecture entitled "Construction of the Current Discipline System, Academic System and Discourse System of Higher Education in China". The lecture was presided over by Su Linqin, Dean of the Institute of Higher Education of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and more than 120 teachers and students from relevant disciplines of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and other colleges and universities participated in the lecture.

讲座重点围绕高等教育学的三大体系——学科体系、学术体系、话语体系展开。侯教授认为,学科体系的建设要基于统筹兼顾的原则,从基本知识出发厘清高等教育学学科体系脉络,回归学科起点并推进高等教育学元研究的开展,要以整体、系统的视角处理好高等教育学与相关学科的关系,最终实现高等教育学学科体系的完善;高等教育学学术体系的建设,要坚持理论与实践相结合,通过夯实基础和躬行实践促进高等教育学的建设;高等教育学话语体系的建设,既要立足时代主题与中国特色,又要主动完善话语结构,积极扩充话语外延,不断丰富高等教育学话语体系。

The lecture focuses on three systems of higher education: discipline system, academic system and discourse system. Professor Hou believes that the construction of the discipline system should be based on the principle of overall consideration, clarify the context of the discipline system of higher education from the basic knowledge, and based on the starting point of the discipline and promote the meta-research of higher education, comprehensively and systematically handle the relationship between higher education and related disciplines so as to achieve the improvement of the discipline system of higher education. In order to build the academic system of higher education, we should adhere to the combination of theory and practice, and promote the construction of "teaching" and "learning" of higher education by consolidating the foundation and personal practice. For the construction of the discourse system of higher education, we should not only comply with the theme of the times and pay attention to Chinese characteristics, but also actively improve the discourse structure, actively expand the extension of discourse, and constantly enrich the discourse system of higher education.

侯教授用幽默风趣的语言,道出了教育学者在研究过程中应保有自觉、自省和自信的态度,要坚持生活本位的研究,处理好教育学与人的发展、教育学与社会发展、教育学与知识的关系。高等教育研究是全体系的,要处理好高等教育与职业教育、家庭教育、老年教育、社会教育的关系。

Professor Hou, using humorous language, clearly pointed out that educators should maintain a self-conscious, introspective and confident attitude in the research process, adhere to conduct research rooted in life, and handle the relationship between pedagogy and human development, pedagogy and social development, pedagogy and knowledge. Higher education research is an all-inclusive system, so we should properly handle the relationship between higher education and vocational education, family education, elderly education, and social education.

侯教授也对高等教育学究竟是一门学科还是研究领域等问题进行了解答,他认为这两者分别是基于学科导向和问题导向而提出的,各有道理,不可偏一。整场讲座学术氛围浓厚,这不仅有利于教育学科研究生形成问题意识,同时也有助于提升学生的思辨能力和创新意识。

Professor Hou also answered the question of whether higher education is a discipline or a research field. He believed that the two were put forward based on discipline orientation and problem orientation, both of which are reasonable, so it is not allowed to judge which one is right and which one is wrong at will. The whole lecture has a strong academic atmosphere, which is not only conducive to training graduate students in education discipline to ask questions, but also conducive to improving their thinking ability and innovation consciousness.
